Upcoming events:
Saturday 15th November 2025 - 1pm-5pm -Attuned Assessment workshop
Often people say “if only they could talk”, but they are communicating with us all the time, we just have to listen and be able to figure out what they are telling us.
My Attuned Assessment approach goes deeper than a conventional veterinary physical examination. It consists of observations of your horse’s posture and movement, body and hoof shape, and behaviours and facial expressions. These observations are done at a distance, hands-on, and using food and scent enrichment stations.
Learn how to both ask and answer questions to help your horse physically, mentally, and emotionally - such as: “Have we really ruled out pain?”; “Is there a health reason for my horse’s behaviour?”; “How does my horse learn?”; “How is my horse’s lifestyle serving them?”.
Have a tour of my track system whole horse rehabilitation facility and see what I choose to observe in my investigations and in monitoring recovery.

Saturday 22nd November 2025 - 1pm-5pm - Husbandry for Happiness workshop
How does a horse’s lifestyle and management affect them physically, mentally, and emotionally? What can we practically change about these to help them?
As a vet, I see it all the time - health and behaviour problems that have at their root some element of the way the horse lives and is looked after day to day. On this workshop we will cover:
• Food - what we feed, and how we give it
• Feet and teeth - how trimming, shoeing, booting, and dentistry affect horse health, posture, and wellbeing
• Friends and freedom - confinement, company, play, and sleep
• A look at some specific health conditions
Have a tour of my track system whole horse rehabilitation facility and see how much I focus on lifestyle when it comes to investigation and recovery.

Saturday 29th November 2025 - 1pm-5pm - Equisimulator workshop - Read your horse for soundness
• Learn how to tell what your horse’s limbs and back are doing underneath you
• Learn what healthy, symmetrical movement with suspension feels like
• Learn what you might feel if your horse is crooked, weak, stiff, or sore
• Learn when and how riding your horse will be therapeutic, and when they should be helped by stopping or giving them a break from ridden work
Saturday 6th December 2025 - 1pm-5pm - Cooperative care and needle shyness workshop
Is your horse terrified of needles? Perhaps you are struggling with a different veterinary or husbandry intervention like problems with foot handling or giving medication?
Did you know that these behaviours can be an indicator of an underlying problem, including pain? Fear and fear of pain are often added on top.
My approach seeks to deeply understand and compassionately overcome needle shyness and other fears by addressing the deep rooted causes and teaching a cooperative care approach, preparing the horse for all the steps in the process in a way that enables them to be an active participant.
On this workshop, learn about the deep rooted causes and about how to train cooperative care behaviours - where we can help the horse to feel safe and understand the process.
Learn about how to train using food without inducing frustration or conflict over the food.
